1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the website investatech.com. They also describe who Investatech Inc. ("Investatech", "we", "us") is, which products we offer and how those products are paid for. Investatech Inc. is an Ontario corporation located at 100 Richmond St W, Suite 308, Toronto, Ontario M5H 3K6, Canada.

These terms are not part of the agreement for any product you buy or subscribe to. If you buy or subscribe to one of our products, that product's own terms are your agreement for that product (see section 4). By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Our products and services

Investatech makes software and learning products and offers related services, including:

• RCIC App (rcicapp.ca), practice-management software for immigration professionals, governed by the RCIC App Terms of Service;
• Examstead (examstead.ca), independent exam-preparation packages, governed by Examstead's Purchase and refund terms;
• training and custom software development, offered under separate agreements.

Each product may have its own terms, privacy notice and ways to contact us. Our products are designed for customers in Canada. We also accept customers outside Canada.

3. How our products are paid for (information)

This section is for information. It does not add to or change any product's terms.

3.1 Seller and payment processing. Investatech Inc. is the seller of its products. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.

3.2 Prices and taxes. Our products are priced in Canadian dollars. Each product shows its price, applicable taxes and total before you pay.

3.3 What the product terms decide. Each product's terms set out its prices, discounts, taxes, access or subscription period, activation, renewal, cancellation and refunds, and any referral rewards and payouts.

3.4 Subscriptions. Where a product is sold as a subscription (currently RCIC App), its terms describe how it renews. Some declines cannot be retried until you update your payment method.

3.5 One-time purchases. Examstead packages are one-time purchases that give access for a fixed period, as described in Examstead's Purchase and refund terms. They do not renew automatically.

3.6 Questions about a charge. If a charge looks wrong or unfamiliar, you can contact us through investatech.com/contact and we will try to resolve it quickly. Contacting us is optional. It does not limit any right you have to cancel under the law, to complain to a consumer protection authority or to dispute a charge with your card issuer.

4. Which terms apply

Your agreement for a product consists of that product's terms, together with the rights and protections that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded or waived. These terms govern your use of investatech.com only. They do not form part of any product agreement, do not fill gaps in it and do not change it. If anything on this website appears to differ from a product's terms about that product, the product's terms apply.

5. Use of this website

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:

• use the website in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems;
• use automated systems to scrape, collect or extract data from the website;
• transmit any malicious code, viruses or harmful content;
• impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, software and design, is the property of Investatech Inc. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission.

7. Warranties

We provide this website "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The warranties and remedies that apply to a product you buy are set out in that product's terms and in the law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a warranty, condition, right or remedy that applicable law, including consumer protection law, does not allow us to exclude or limit.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Investatech Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website. This section does not apply to any product agreement, and it does not limit our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including under consumer protection laws that apply to you.

9. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a business customer, the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over disputes about these terms. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the protection of the laws of the province, territory or country where you live, or your right to bring proceedings in its courts. For example, a consumer who lives in Quebec keeps the right to bring proceedings in Quebec.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated version applies to your use of this website from the date shown at the top of this page. Changes to these terms do not change any product agreement, including a purchase or subscription made before the change.
